A: All our dresses are made to order.
Estimated Receiving Time = Production Time + Shipping Time
It takes 4 to 6 weeks to ship wedding dresses or 2-4 weeks for other dresses. Shipping can take 3-10 business days subject to the shipping method. You can find the ordering timeline on each product page with standard production service and rush service. We suggest customers to order at least 2-3 months earlier and customers will have plenty of time to alter the dresses just in case.

Q: Can I make changes to your dresses? And the cost?
A: Yes. All dresses on DesignFormal are re-designable. The extra cost will be charged based on alterations you make. Contact our designer to get a quote by clicking 'Add to Design Box' button on the item page.
Q: Are you able to recreate/duplicate a dress if I provide a picture or sketch?
A: Yes, we are good at it.
Q: Will the dress come the exactly same as shown?
A: For our pre-designed items, they will come exactly the same as shown.
For custom items, our designer will check details about your design demands before production. The finished item images will be provide for your confirmation before shipping.
Q: Can I change the size and color for my dresses after payment?
A: Our order fulfillment and shipping systems are designed to send orders quickly and efficiently. Tailoring process begins as soon as an order has been placed, and materials cannot be reused.
For any changes or cancellations, please do contact us before In Producing status. Please note that corresponding change fees will be charged on changes you need.
Price & Payment
Q: How much for a customized dress?
A: It depends on your dress design and fabric you choose. Our designer will offer you the precise quotation after checking your design demands.
Q: Do I have to pay before seeing the dress I design?
A: Yes. We purchase fabrics and start making your dress after getting payment and all design details confirmed.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We currently accept payment via PayPal. Credit card payment is available on PayPal even without PayPal account.
Q: Is sketch free?
A: Sketch fee is not included in dress cost. You have to pay for it separately if needed.
Q: My payment won't go through!
A: If you're having some trouble with your payment, we do have some tips that usually work, but we're not able to override the actual system to accept a payment if it won't go through.
Some things you can try that may work include:
- Make sure all information is correct including credit card number, expiration date, security code, billing address, and zip code if asked.
- Try using PayPal if you have a PayPal account. Customers can still pay via PayPal guest check out if customers do not have a PayPal account.
- Try using a different card.
- Start over with a new order instead of trying to pay for the same order over again.
- If your payment is still declined, you may need to contact your bank. Occasionally, when purchasing from an online company for the first time, your financial institution will issue a hold on the funds if they are unfamiliar with it.
- One thing to keep in mind is that even if your bank approves the payment, our processor may decline it if it does not pass the necessary security checks set up.

Q: Can I make my dress with custom size?
A: Yes. You could fill in your precise measurements when place order by following our Measuring Guide. No extra fee will be charged for custom size and plus size.
Q: Will a wedding or bridesmaid dress fit me if I’m pregnant?
A: Yes. We can make any wedding gown/bridesmaid dress with custom size to fit you.
Q: What size am I?
A: Measure yourself with help from your friend or a local tailor by following our Measuring Guide. You could choose standard size by checking our Standard Size Chart, or fill in your precise measurements when place order.
Q: Can I change the shown dress color?
A: Yes. Most dresses have multiple color choices.
Q: Can I have dress fabric samples/color swatches to check in person?
A: Yes. Please contact us for more details.
Production & Shipping
Q: When will I receive my order?
A: It depends on the dress design and service you choose. Production time and shipping time with standard service and rush service are listed in each item page. For customized items, please refer to the time our designer sets on your customization page. For general production time, please refer to our Shipping Policy.
Q: Is there any rush service to shorten the production time?
A: Yes. You could choose rush service to shorten the production time when place order. The detailed production time with rush service is listed on each item page.
Q: Can I rush my order after paying?
A: It depends on your order status. Please contact our customer service or your customized item designer to check if it is still available.
Q: How long can I get sketch?
A: The sketch will be provided in about 7 days via email after getting payment and design details confirmed.
Q: How long can I get my mock-up dress?
A: The mock-up dress will be ready to ship in about 7 days after getting payment and design details confirmed.
Q: Do I have to ship back the mock-up dress?
A: Shipping back the mock-up dress for your custom design is required for making your dress. And the shipping cost will be on your own.
Q: How much is shipping cost?
You may add items to the shopping cart to check on the accurate shipping fee. Customers can also place a test order to check the total cost.
We have 3 shipping methods including expedited shipping, standard shipping, and economic shipping. The shipping fee varies from country to country. It also depends on the weight of the items you order.

Q: Do you ship to PO Boxes or APO/FPO military addresses?
Q: Do I need to pay sales tax or custom duties?
A: Items at DesignFormal are listed with prices without customs duties, sales taxes, VAT or any other hidden fees. Except for California, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, we don’t charge any sales tax or VAT from customers in other states or countries.
However, because of strict customs inspection in some countries, you may be charged customs fees on imported items by the local customs office.
Sorry that we have no control over this and cannot predict what amount might be. You may contact your local customs tax office for details.

Q: How long will it take to arrive after shipping?
A: It depends where your country is. Normally it takes 10~15 working days with standard shipping to arrive after shipping, and 3~4 working days with expedited shipping method. More details please refer to our Shipping Policy.
Q: Where will the items be shipped from?
A: Products will be shipped from China factory.
Q: How can I track my order?
